Marital Woes

Lemme just start off by saying, I am tired of being sick and tired. Ya digg? I just can't continue to put myself at the bottom anymore. The more I give, the more he takes. We have been married for a year and 7mths. We were in a relationship for 10 years before we got married. Why didn't I listen to myself and to phatmom? Why , why, why??? I need to get out now! I just can't take it anymore. Even after a new baby, yes...I need for ya'll to understand that just because you have a baby doesn't been you should sacrifice your sanity. I just don't know what else to do. Why do I always have to bend or be the one to say ok let's talk or try to work it out? Its only so much working out and working on you can do. I am so afraid of what people might say and what his family may say about me. I shouldn't stay where I'm not happy. Pray for me ya'll.

Of course you have are in my prayers. But, you can't spend too much of your time worrying about what his family will say about you, because in the end, this is between nobody but you and your husband, everything else is secondary...just my 22 cents.

Bless your heart. :( First of all, big hugs to you. Marriage isn't always peaches and cream - it's definitely something you have to work at. My husband and I have been married for almost 8 years but we've been together for 14 years - so we've been together a long time! We've definitely seen the ups and downs and highs and lows, but we're big on communication so we're able to talk and work out most situations.

It seems as though your husband is not willing to change or even talk about the problems you're experiencing. Communication is key and since he doesn't seem to be willing, I don't know what to suggest. Have you talked to your pastor, have you sought counseling? Will this help or is the marriage just beyond repair?
